March is Women’s History Month! In commemoration, we will be honoring women in science who have broken the mold, made scientific breakthroughs and inspire us to push the barriers of what’s possible.
Today we honor astrophysicist and new energy enthusiast, Dr. Elizabeth Rauscher (1937-2019).
She received her degree in physics and chemistry at a time when less than 5% of physics undergraduates were women. She went on to earn her PhD in astrophysics, nuclear physics and engineering.
She loved talking about the philosophy of quantum theory, so much so that in 1975 she formed the informal discussion group, Fundamental Fysiks Group in Berkeley, CA. Notably, she was the first to suggest that zero-point energy can self-organize in plasma (1). She also developed medical devices based on bioelectromagnetics to enhance health and worked on NASA space shuttles.
Dr. Rauscher represents what is possible when follow your dreams despite the odds, question reality and search for answers.
“The earth and the life forms upon its surface
vibrate and resonate in harmony in such a manner that radiant energy from the sun and materials and vibrations of the earth support this life….Also impressed upon the environment are many man-made sources disturbing
both the atmosphere and the earth…. We must examine what we are doing as people, as societies and as nations! If we do not develop a new consciousness and awareness, destruction of life will inevitably result” - Dr. Elizabeth Rauscher (taken from Hidden Energy)
